WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, U.S. Congressman Russ Fulcher issued the following statement after voting in favor of the Fiscal Year 2025 Concurrent Resolution on the Budget, H. Con. Res. 14.

The resolution would set the congressional budget for fiscal year 2025 (FY25) and establish the appropriate budgetary levels for fiscal years 2026 through 2034.

“Today, I voted to adopt the House’s budget blueprint,” said Congressman Fulcher. “This package proposal will deliver significant tax cuts for American families, reduce spending, stimulate economic growth by rolling back unnecessary regulations, deliver the resources needed to secure our homeland, and ultimately lay the framework to codify President Trump’s policy agenda into legislation.”

Background

The FY25 budget resolution would:

  • Extend and expand upon President Trump’s 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act in a deficit neutral package

  • Require a minimum of $1.5 trillion in mandatory savings over the next decade

  • Provide the necessary resources U.S. Border Patrol needs to enforce border security

  • Strengthen national defense by making critical investments in the U.S. military
