Fulcher Attends Idaho Auto Dealers Conference
WASHINGTON, D.C. — On Monday, August 12, U.S. Congressman Fulcher attended the Idaho Auto Dealers Conference in Coeur d'Alene to discuss his recent actions to push back against the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) attempt to remove consumer choice in the automotive market.
"At the Idaho Auto Dealers Conference in Coeur d'Alene, I had the opportunity to explain to the folks that will be directly impacted about the steps I have taken to prevent the Biden-Harris administration's de-facto eclectic vehicle mandate that would dismantle our U.S. supply chain, eliminate consumer choice, and increase our reliance on foreign adversaries," said Congressman Fulcher."
In May, Congressman Fulcher, and U.S. Senator Dan Sullivan (R-AK) introduced legislation under the Congressional Review Act to stop Biden’s Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) proposed rule for heavy-duty vehicle emission standards that would require 30-40% of all new trucks be electric in just eight years.
If the mandates were implemented, 99.82% of the cars in Idaho would not meet its zero-emission transportation mandate.
