WASHINGTON, D.C - In a video released Wednesday morning, Congressman Russ Fulcher urged his colleagues to support Representative Jim Jordan of Ohio for Speaker of the House.
Republican lawmakers in the U.S. House of Representatives are expected to decide on the next Speaker of the House on Wednesday, after former Speaker Kevin McCarthy was ousted last week. As of Wednesday morning, the front-runners are Rep. Jim Jordan of Ohio and Rep. Steve Scalise of Louisiana.

"His stalwart dedication to conservative values, integrity and unwavering commitment to our nation’s prosperity make him the ideal candidate to lead the U.S House of Representatives. We need conservative fighters leading Congress, and I know that Jim is uniquely qualified to take on Biden, Schumer and the rest of the swamp," said Fulcher in a social media post on Tuesday.
