LEWISTON, ID – If your teen is considering serving his or her country and wants to go to college, here’s a chance to get started. The Service Academy Days are coming up across Idaho. Your student will need a Congressional nomination to be admitted to one of the academies, and this is a good place to get started.
Students, parents, and counselors can meet with liaisons, cadets, and midshipmen from each of the academies, Air Force, Army, Navy, Merchant Marine, and Coast Guard.
Staff members from Idaho’s Congressional delegations will be there to answer questions about the application process for anyone seeking a nomination. A Congressional nomination isn’t required for admission to the Coast Guard Academy, but they will be there to answer questions.
The first one is in Lewiston on March 7th. It will be held at Lewiston High School from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
