WASHINGTON, D.C.  U.S. Congressman Russ Fulcher issued the following statement informing constituents across Idaho’s First Congressional District that his offices in Coeur d’Alene, Lewiston, Meridian, and Washington, D.C., remain open during the government shutdown.

“On October 1, 2025, funding for many federal government operations lapsed. While I supported a bipartisan package passed by the House that would extend current funding until November 21, 2025, allowing both Chambers to proceed in completing Fiscal Year 2026 appropriations bills through regular budget order, that legislation did not pass the Senate,” said Congressman Fulcher. “However, despite the temporary federal government shutdown, my offices remain open. We are here to serve the People of Idaho, and that work will not stop."
