Fulcher Appointed Vice Chair of the Subcommittee on Commerce, Manufacturing, and Trade
WASHINGTON, D.C.—Today, U.S. Congressman Russ Fulcher (Idaho-01) issued the following statement after being appointed to serve as the Vice Chair of the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Commerce, Manufacturing, and Trade:
“I am honored to be named the Vice Chair of the Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Commerce, Manufacturing, and Trade for the 119th Congress,” said Congressman Fulcher. “It is paramount that the United States act decisively to maintain leadership in technological advancements, fortify our supply chains so we are not reliant on foreign nations, and prioritize domestic manufacturing and energy production to spur economic growth. I look forward to working alongside Chairman-Elect Guthrie to do just that, and I am grateful for this opportunity to deliver further wins for Idahoans and Americans across the country.”
Chairman-Elect of the Energy and Commerce Committee, Brett Guthrie (KY-02), added:
“I look forward to working with Congressman Fulcher in his new role as Vice Chair of the Subcommittee on Commerce, Manufacturing, and Trade. Congressman Fulcher has been a leader on the Committee and has a wide breadth of policy knowledge to ensure the U.S. leads the world in the next generation economy. I look forward to continuing to work with Russ to help secure American supply chains to reduce our reliance on adversarial nations like China, advance U.S. innovation in next generation industries, and protect our children online from Big Tech abuses.”
