WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, U.S. Congressman Russ Fulcher (Idaho-01) released the following statement mourning the passing of former Idaho Governor Dirk Kempthorne.
“I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Governor Dirk Kempthorne. Dirk was a dear friend, a trusted mentor, and a devoted public servant. From his time as Mayor of Boise to his service as a U.S. Senator, Governor of Idaho, and Secretary of the Interior, he worked selflessly on behalf of America and our Idaho,” said Congressman Fulcher. “I will always cherish his wisdom, steadfast friendship, and Christian example. My prayers and deepest condolences are with his wife, Patricia, and their children. Rest in peace, friend.”
